Our IT director watched a man come out of an exam room tonight, wander around the halls for a while, then head downstairs to the vending machines in the Student Concourse. IT guy stopped him. "You are in the middle of an exam; you can't just wander around the building!"
"But I wanted a snack!"
"It�s not allowed!"
"The proctor said it was okay."
"The proctor had no right to tell you that.""BUT I'M THE PROFESSOR OF THE COURSE!" THAT, my friends, made me happy this evening. Laugh like a loon, in fact. Other than that brief, shining moment, the day was pretty lousy. Its been pouring all day, and there were several foul-ups on this the first day of exams. Twelve more to go. Christmas shopping? What's that? What will also make me happy is my comfy bed, replete with comfy husband and kitty. Only a couple of hours to go....
