Some thoughts on the concept of "fag hags" and why I am not one: I must say I'm really not crazy about the term. To me it implies a kind of pathetic creature who can't get a "real man" and thereby focuses her attentions on gay men because they are somehow "safe." Nope. Got me a man, and also man friends, many of whom are, yes, gay, and whom I wouldn't trade for anything. (Wo-man friends, too, by the way.) One such friend, Michael, has come up with a concept that suits me fine. To quote the source: "Glorious Gals: Gals that hang with gay or bisexual men to have a good time because straight men only want sex. It is all about peace, love and happiness." Works for me. And it's "G.G." for short.
